How it works

Two ways to use Hearless

Read voice notes you receive, and speak instead of typing. Both take a few taps.

Read a WhatsApp voice note

  1. In WhatsApp, long-press the voice note you want to read.
  2. Tap Share, then choose Hearless.
  3. A sheet opens on top of WhatsApp and the transcript appears in seconds.
  4. Copy or share the text — it’s also saved to your library.

Voice typing in any app

  1. Turn on Hearless Voice Typing once, in your phone’s Accessibility settings.
  2. Tap any text field — the Hearless mic appears beside it.
  3. Tap the mic and talk.
  4. Tap the check mark, and your words are typed into the field, with filler words removed.

It works in any app with a text field, not just chat. Recordings are up to five minutes at a time, and the mic never appears on password fields.

Common questions

Do I have to export or upload the file?

No. You share the voice note straight to Hearless and read the text in place — there’s no browser upload step.

Does Hearless read my chats automatically?

No. Hearless only sees the voice notes you choose to share. There is no background listening or folder watching.

What if the note is long?

Long recordings are handled automatically — there is no length limit for transcription.
